Harness Your Energy

Every one of us has enormous potential to rise to our best self and to put our energy into ventures that enable us to advance and achieve. Few of us, however, have learned to master the art of harnessing and leveraging our energy to its highest and greatest use.

Women in particular stand to benefit from a practice of using our energy to restore and renew ourselves, but also to influence others, own our space in a room, and find our voice.

Join us for a weekend designed for women by women to unlock your hidden potential while you relax and restore yourself.

You'll enjoy group coaching sessions with like-minded women, massage and Reiki treatments, and an innovative coaching methodology known as Equine-Facilitated Learning.

You'll come away with renewed strength and intentionality for the challenges that lie ahead.

Escape to the Country

We are thrilled to welcome you to Shore Hall, a 16th Century, Grade II Listed manor house on the edge of the Essex/Suffolk border.
Situated on 22 acres of stunning formal gardens, orchards, paddocks, groves, and historic stables, Shore Hall is the perfect opportunity for a retreat to allow you to focus on relaxation, learning, and growth.

Rest Your Body, Refresh Your Soul

Shore Hall's facilities include a heated outdoor pool and a serene meditation centre for recuperative body treatments, yoga, and mindfulness practice. You'll enjoy restful walks through the woods, the orchards, and the meadows, with stops along the way to sit and enjoy the idyllic views.

Accommodations

Tide Risers retreats are the perfect blend of comfort, relaxation, and fun, and the accommodations we select for our members reflect that spirit.

About Equine-Facilitated Learning

Equine-Facilitated Learning is an experiential learning process that involves an individual working alongside a horse under the guidance of a trained coach to do the self-reflection and deliberation that is common within coaching contexts.

We will be working alongside horses, not riding them, and you do not need any experience with horses to gain from this unique and powerful experience.

Over the thousands of years that horses have lived alongside humans, they have adapted to very accurately reflect back to us our emotions and energy. Horses effectively provide insight into our mindset, demeanour, and behaviour, and when facilitated by a trained coach, can provide an extraordinary learning experience.

The Experience

The retreat will include group discussion and workshops within the 16th-century manor house of Shore Hall.

It will also include work within an enclosed arena and out in the fields with Arron's herd of gentle, well-trained horses.

About Us

The retreat will be led by Lara Holliday and Arron Stevenson. Lara and Arron bring the experience and perspective of different worlds and different practices: Lara from urban centers of the United States, practicing executive and career coaching; and Arron from the English countryside, with over 30 years of deep experience with horse care, riding, training, and breeding.

Lara Holliday

Lara Holliday is a career and executive coach and the Founder + CEO of Tide Risers, a deliberate community for women leaders. She specializes in helping women own their roles as leaders and is known for her ability to help people uncover hidden barriers, get unstuck, and improve their lives professionally and personally.

As a coach, Lara serves as an informed and dedicated thought partner, offering a framework to help people establish their authentic professional brand while bolstering critical skills. Her work challenges perceptions about leadership, re-orients the work/life balance conversation, and leads professionals through a framework to establish their own definition of success.

Lara started studying Equine-Facilitated Learning practices after a series of deep learning experiences she had working with horses and EFL coaches that helped her fully realize her business growth goals. She now integrates Equine-Facilitated Learning techniques into her executive coaching practice.

Lara is a Senior Member of the ACCPH (Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists) and has received her Level 2 Certificate in Equine Facilitated Learning.

Arron Stevenson

Arron Stevenson is a qualified British Horse Society Stage 2 Coach and and Equine Facilitation Practitioner, and she has deep interests in holistic ways of working with and healing horses. She has over 30 years of experience of owning and working with horses. She subscribes to the philosophy of lifelong learning and will always be learning about these amazing creatures.

Arron has built Dodderhill Equestrian over the past eight years to be a relaxed environment where horses and people can grow and learn together.

Arron has pursued a deep course of study and research to better her equine knowledge, attending clinics, presentations, research opportunities, and CPD.

Arron takes part in riding club activities, enjoys horse breeding and stud work, and strives to give young horses the best start in life.

She also loves helping people create a better partnership with their horses; working alongside vets within rehabilitation liveries; and watching her daughter follow her own horse riding dreams.
